From Idea to Brief
This week flips the last three on their head. Until now we handed you the requirements and the agent built. Tonight the idea is yours — and there's no code at all. It's planning night: you turn a vague "I keep doing X" into a clear brief an agent could build in one sitting.

What you'll do
You'll co-create the requirements for your own small project, in three moves — all in plain English, no code:
- Draft a brief — tell Claude your idea in one sentence, and sharpen it together into a
one-page
brief.md: what it does, what goes in, what comes out. - Grow it into a PRD — type
/to-prdand Claude writes the full document from your brief, guesses and all. - Get grilled — type
/grill-meand Claude interviews you one question at a time, turning each guess into your decision, until the plan holds up.
You leave with a plan that's ready to build next week — not a wish.
What to bring
Your recurring question — the one you keep asking, that Session 3 asked you to notice ("what do I check every week?", "what do I keep redoing by hand?"). That's the seed of your project.
No idea yet? No problem — there's a starter shelf of ready-to-adapt projects to pick from on the night. Nobody's stuck at the door.
Get set up
Grab the starter kit from the Resources page and unzip it into a folder named after your project:
session-4-skills.zip— adds the/grill-me,/to-prdand/to-issuescommandssession04-CLAUDE.md— the project rulebook (keeps Claude in planning mode: no code, push for small)session04-brief.md— your one-page brief template to fill in
Then open the folder in VS Code, tell Claude your idea in one sentence, and you're away.
The whole night is about one thing: a good first build is embarrassingly small. "Read my file and tell me the three things that changed" beats "an app that runs my whole life." We make the small thing sharp — then next week we build it.
